Looking for Hope? An Inspirational message of hope just for you!

Hey! How are you? How’s the quarantine going? Covid-19 has our global social life on hold and I have developed a serious love/hate relationship with it. Am I the only one who was terrified of being confined to my house with my family for an undetermined amount of time? I’ve now been home with my hubby and two of my three kids for the past six days.

Just like you, I’ve spent a lot of time online, searching for blogs to read and inspirational messages to stay positive. It’s been…fun, challenging, and quite honestly, just what I think my family needed for a reset.

We’ve taken walks, appropriately distanced from all neighbors of course. Enjoyed deep discussions and we’ve had trivial fights. Just like you, we’ve been low key, not really talking to anyone, and, there’s been the silence…

Which, quite honestly freaks me out at times. Please tell me I’m not the only one bothered by the silence. Sometimes, the silence makes me feel alone, unseen and sad at times. I’m all for peace and quiet, trust me, I’m an introvert. However, I do love to socialize with groups of people, absorbing  inspirational words, so that I can in turn inspire others.

Gathering around the table with friends and family with good food and sparkly drinks make my heart happy. And, while I love this time with my hubby and kids, I miss my friends…

I respect that we are in uncertain times, with our jobs and social gatherings on hold, churches unable to gather, parties and graduations postponed, weddings and funerals are unable to be preformed with loved ones together for love and support. All the milestones of life that help a person feel special, chosen and joy filled are on pause. If this is you, I’m so sorry for your loss of a moment. And I pray the loss is covered by a greater gain.

In this time of feeling of being isolated, I woke up this morning with a word on my heart, CHOSEN. And I asked God, what about being chosen? Am I chosen? Who is chosen, and why are they chosen? And, after a nice cup of coffee I received my answer in Galatians 1:15 – 16, which says, “But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles”.

I was immediately reminded that before this season, before you and I were even born, we were chosen for such a time as this (Esther 4:14). Friend, you are chosen, selected for just this moment to be a source of encouragement and hope to those around you. We are not the first generation to face isolation in the face of a pandemic, but, we are the first of our generation. The first society with access to technology at our fingertips. Technology we can use to stir up trouble, or, use to bring comfort and hope to others around the world. Bring meals to our door or car or use to exercise with a coach in our living room. Um..clearly this is not me.

All of which means that you have been set apart by God for this time and this season to do something amazing, life changing, and inspiring. You are chosen, with a divine purpose to share love and hope in these seemingly uncertain times. We have been elected and hand picked to overcome this trial of faith with strength, grace and dignity. Sharing the lessons you have learned to help the next generation be prepared in the face of adversity.

My friend, you are of a chosen race, a royal lineage (1 Peter 2:9). You carry great treasure’s within your heart that others NEED to receive (Deuteronomy 7:6).

If you made a silent cry for hope recently, take this message as one for you. You are going to be ok. Your life is not falling apart, you are on a path of great victory. Defeat is not your calling…oh no! You are called to overcome and rise up. You are walking into your calling and I am here walking with you. I am so excited for what God has for you.

As we finish our drinks together, let’s pray…

Heavenly Father, I come to you today to thank you for this opportunity to share with others just how special we are in this season. I come to you with gratitude in my heart for every sister who reads this message, each gift, lesson and opportunity you have for me and my  friends. Thank you Father for this time with my family, and for this time of reflection. May I use it wisely for your glory God. May your light shine through me to those who are struggling to find hope for tomorrow. Use me Father to share your love, kindness, grace and compassion with those in need. Open my eyes to those you send to me that may I be a conduit of your love.

Thank you for your provision, taking care of all my needs according to your riches and glory in Christ Jesus.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing your time with me my friend. I pray to get to know you all better in time. Send me message if this encouraged you at all. God bless you and keep you in his perfect peace. Aloha.

  1. Can I just say what a comfort to find somebody who truly understands what theyre talking about on the net. You certainly understand how to bring a problem to light and make it important. A lot more people really need to look at this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely possess the gift.
