May you abound in hope…abound means to increase, cast together or to overflow.
Maui has experienced an overflow of love, support, community.
So many feel weak in the midst of tragedy. But, over and over again, we are reminded to be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deut 31:6
This message comes with a loss of many lives…and I want to be sensitive to this…because in no way shape or form and I attempting to be hard hearted….my heart breaks and I cry with each person who has lost a loved one.
Isaiah 55:8 My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts says the Lord. And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to do and it will prosper everywhere I send it. -Isaiah 55:11
Isaiah 57:1 says this..Good people often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Renewal
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert – Isaiah 43:18-19
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you 1 Peter 5:10
